After many years of baking for family and friends, Sharon and her husband Jim have finally the opportunity to share all the wonderful baked goods that are full of hard work and love. With this love of baking and her fathers struggle with celiac disease, Sharon decided to prefect the art of baking gluten free. She also decided to combine her vegan lifestyle to create Sweet Rebellion’s Gluten Free and Vegan Baked goods.
Sharon graduated from The Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in 2016 and interned at a Gluten Free bakery later that year in Phoenix, AZ. Since moving to Blacksburg in 2017 to help support her husband’s career, Sharon and Jim have taken the opportunity to reach the community thanks to the Blacksburg Farmers Market.
