Poplar Hill Alpacas & Studio

Les and Patty Fuller
Blacksburg, VA

Since 1998, Poplar Hill Alpacas & Studio has been the labor of love for The Fullers. Known for raising champion alpacas, their farm is home to 65 alpacas that produce the wonderful fiber used in all of the gifts, socks, yarns, and woolens offerings at the Market.

Poplar Hill Alpacas is home to Blacksburg’s very own Alpaca Wool Dryer Balls, bird nesting balls, and Poplar Hill’s luxury line of hand made, hand felted goats milk soaps. Each a work of art and always a perfect gift. Our repeat customers say it is the best soap you’ll ever use. Spa quality and all made right on our farm.

True to farm life and those loving the outdoors Poplar Hill offers a farm tested and outdoor tough line of socks, gloves, hats, and headbands. Super warm and durable, the woolens have received rave reviews from hunters, hikers, farmers, landscapers, and sports fans wanting to be stylish and comfortable. Each Farmer’s Market features our favorite custom designed scarves, shawls, and hats. Fingerless gloves are always in season and be sure to see the summer weight scarves, they are beautiful!

Knitters, fiber artists, and spinners take a look at our line of roving and yarns that are in all the wonderful natural colors produced by the alpacas. The variety always changes, and in the fall look for our series of hand painted yarns, they are gorgeous! We always keep our finest show fleeces for our spinners, our best for your heirloom works of art.

Come stop by the Market on Saturdays and say hello. Les and Patty always have a story to share of the happenings on the farm.
